Several times a year, we invite our Prince of Peace families to share a special offering for a cause or organisation in our community. For the month of March, we're changing it up a bit and asking for donations of supplies (rather than funds) to support the Everton Park Community Pantry.

Located just around the corner from the church on South Pine Road, the pantry provides free food and supplies for families in the neighbourhood who may have hidden needs or are just struggling with the cost of living.

You can drop donations in the white box under the TV screen in the church foyer at your convenience, and we'll deliver collections to the pantry weekly through the month.

Suggested items:

  • Tinned food like baked beans, canned fruit or veg, soup, tuna or sardines
  • Bottles and jars of sauces, jams, pickled veg and other condiments, unopened
  • Packets of pasta, rice, chips, crackers, biscuits, rice cakes, noodles
  • Flour, icing sugar, cake mix, salt, pepper, stock cubes and other baking items
  • Any other packaged non-perishable pantry items, including multipacks that have been opened but contain items inside that are still sealed
  • Toiletries including period products, incontinence products, baby items, nappies, shampoo and conditioner, unused and unopened makeup items, deodorants, body wash, soap, toothpaste and toothbrushes

Please do NOT give:

  • Anything opened, expired, damaged or dubious
  • Any household goods including kitchen items, appliances, furniture, soft furnishings and blankets
  • Clothes, shoes, bags and toys
  • Perishable items like cheese or milk, meat etc
  • Medicine and medical items
  • Alcohol
  • Anything that isn’t food or toiletries

Thank you for your help, please contact the church office if you have any questions!
