We’ve both been involved with youth and young adult ministry like this for a while and we think its the best thing ever. Hanging out having a fun time with other people, sharing our passions, lifting other’s up and getting enthusiastic about Jesus stuff are what we’re stoked for with Youth at Prince of Peace!
We both like doing things: watching TV Shows, eating yummy food, listening and dancing to music; Claire is super into Plants and DIY, Drew has fun creating music and yelling at Video Games. Lately though we’ve mostly just been watching our newborn babby Lola roll around on the floor - and that’s really fun.
Before Lola though, we only were able to sing songs to/at our 3 cats. The oldest cat, Stiles (like Stiles from Teen Wolf, not Harry Styles), is super skittish, screams a lot, and definitely does not like the recent additions to our household. Freya (or as we call her: Freg, the Frejinator, or Frejjie) is special and she’s definitely our favourite but don’t tell the others. She was a feral farm kitten. She’s super independent and it’s really lovely when she comes and hangs out with you. Lastly, Waverley, or Wav, has a super floppy belly, likes running around and loves getting under the bed covers. (Note: I don’t know why I’ve spent so much time telling you about our cats, but we love them and they bring us joy. We’re not crazy cat people - our parents have dogs who we love too, we just don’t have a dog friendly house, but also we do love cats).
Anyway, now we like making up and singing songs to our daughter Lola! She loves it. She’ll enjoy hearing you sing her songs at youth. Lola’s favourite colour is yellow and she loves capsicum - although she hasn’t tried a yellow capsicum yet…
Can’t wait to see you at youth!
