Hearts of Hope

Hearts of Hope

August: Coffee Brigade

Prince of Peace is continuing to develop our relationship with Coffee Brigade, an organisation that serves free hot drinks and sandwiches to those in Brisbane facing homelessness or hardship.

This month, we're taking up additional Hearts of Hope collections for the organisation. You can donate at the generosity station in the foyer, or place needed supplies in the white donation box under the foyer TV.

The items most needed include snack items like instant noodles, cup o' soup, muesli bars, tinned meals (tuna, baked beans, spaghetti, etc.,), snack-sized packets of chips and biscuits, or instant coffee sachets; or, personal care items such as tissues, lip balm, body lotion/moisturiser, toothpaste & toothbrushes, shampoo & conditioner, body wash/soap, or deodorant.

Thank you for your support!

Refresh (F5)

Refresh (F5)

Friday 11 September · 5:00-6:30pm

Busy families desperately need chances to slow down and connect. That’s the idea behind “Refresh” – a casual, interactive worship time designed to help families unwind after a full-on week of work and school. Refresh is built on “F5” (named after the key you press to refresh your computer): Family, Friends, Faith, Fun, and Food. (It's also a good way to remember it happens Friday at 5pm.) We’ll gather for music, some activities, and then serve a family-style meal. It’s a great way to start your weekend!

Eat & Greet

Eat & Greet

Share a Meal, Share your Story

The North Brisbane Youth Collaborative have a new project called Eat & Greet! They are looking for "experienced" members of the church to host a couple of students for an evening. The teens will bring you a meal and offer to help with any simple tasks around the house. All you have to do is be willing to share your stories and your wisdom! We hope it will be a way for generations to grow together in faith, one meal at a time. If you’re interested in participating, please click below to fill out a form, or complete a paper form in the foyer and return it to Jon Shaner.

Replenish Women's Retreat

9-11 October

This October, our Replenish retreat is just for you … no cooking, no cleaning, no pressure.

Join us at picturesque Luther Heights, Coolum for a weekend where you can do as much – or as little – as you like. (We can recommend simply gazing at the ocean and the sky from the Ocean Outlook Hall or balcony!)

Choose from a range of accommodation options in Ocean Outlook or Cross Ridge – we cater for your budget and preferences. All rooms are air conditioned.

At Replenish retreat you set your schedule. We’ll kick off with pre-packed light meals from 6pm Friday evening. Your registration also includes Saturday breakfast and dinner, Sunday breakfast and lunch. 2026 update: breakfasts are now at 8:00am!

The retreat offers space to connect as friends – old and new – for board games, shared interests, laughter and great food.  Or if it’s quietness and stillness that you crave, bring your books or projects, or simply enjoy the natural beauty of the area.

You may also choose to opt into a time of Christian reflection and prayer hosted by the planning team.

This retreat is just for women over 18 years of age, up to any age. Please join us. Come by yourself or bring your friends.
